Hello, the Castle courtyard is always open, but if you want to see the castle from the inside, it is only open from Tuesday to Sunday (10 am – 4 pm), with shortened hours in the winter season.
Unfortunately you cannot visit the interior of Vajdahunyad Castle on Mondays, but the outer areas, garden, courts are open all days, all year.

We are French. We come to Budapest for the fourth consecutive year and this year we take the opportunity to make our wedding photos. The Vajdahunyad castle is magnificent. We saw that we could take a wedding package inside the museum. How is it going ? Must book in advance or pay us then the package on the spot? We plan to come on August 17 to 10 am, is this possible? We are 8 persons including 2 married+ a photographer + 2 assistants + 1 cameramen and 2 children. Does it pose a problem ?
    Thank you for your answers.

    Dear all,

we are wedding photographers from Osijek, Croatia. We were looking for a venue for our next wedding session with our newlyweds and we found Vajdahunyad Castle and fell in love immediately with its interior and surroundings. We found that wedding photos inside the museum cost 10 000 HUF, are we paying that at the entrance of the museum or we need to announce our arrival?

Secondly, we were wondering if there is a chance to enter the backyard of the Jak Chapel (a place with fountain)? A part of shooting we would like to do there.

Thank you in advance for your kindness!

    Best regards!
